Issue Description
The Events section in Fleet Positioning displays vehicle-generated notifications based on signals received from vehicle systems. These events provide information about vehicle status, active warnings, faults, maintenance needs, and operational conditions. Which warnings to receive can be chosen in Settings in the Fleet positioning service in MyScania.
Customers may contact support asking:
- What does a specific event, warning, fault, or alarm mean?
- Why was an event triggered?
- When is an event generated?
- What actions should be taken after receiving an event notification?
Resolution / Workaround
Support agents should explain that:
- Events are generated automatically by vehicle systems.
- Each event has a specific trigger condition.
- Events are informational and do not always indicate a vehicle breakdown.
- Some events represent warnings requiring attention, while others simply report a status change.
- Support can explain the meaning of the event but cannot diagnose vehicle faults remotely unless additional vehicle diagnostics are available.
Use the event definitions below when responding to customers.
