A new dashboard called Energy Usage is coming to Vehicle Performance in My Scania. The dashboard is designed for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and provides more detailed BEV3 energy parameters.
With Energy Usage, customers can get a clearer breakdown of how energy is consumed and added to their vehicles. The dashboard includes information such as:
- Detailed energy consumption, including propulsion, climate system and air compressor
- Energy added, showing energy from charging and from the vehicle
- Key energy figures displayed as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and charts
- Filtering by groups, date interval and other available filters

More dashboard improvements are coming
Vehicle Performance is also being expanded with additional customization options. Users will be able to create, edit and manage more types of custom widgets, including KPIs and pie charts.
The new dashboard page is planned to replace the old Overview page, with the old page expected to be removed by the end of the year.
Feedback from customers
Please pay attention to customer questions and feedback, even when the answer is already available in a How-to Guide. Repeated questions can indicate that a button, parameter, description or other part of the User Interface (UI) is not clear enough.
This feedback can help us make Vehicle Performance and other My Scania services easier and more intuitive to use.
Details regarding Energy Usage Parameters.
"VCA power supply system” refers to the vehicle’s complete 24 V electrical system.
The energy parameters are based on accumulated vehicle energy values for the selected period.
Energy consumption including during charging represents the total energy-consumption value shown for the vehicle, including consumption recorded during charging.
Energy consumption excluding during charging excludes energy consumption while the vehicle is connected for charging. It is calculated as the sum of the following five energy categories:
- Propulsion
- Climate system
- Air compressor
- VCA power supply system
- Electric power take-off
Regenerated energy is not deducted from this consumption value.
The operational energy categories are related as follows:
- Driving is calculated as total energy consumption less energy used while idling without power take-off and while idling with power take-off. It therefore includes energy used while driving, including periods in which power take-off is active.
- Driving and idling is calculated as total energy consumption less all energy used while power take-off is active.
- Idling without power take-off is the energy used while the vehicle is idling and no power take-off is active.
- Power take-off activated is the combined energy used while power take-off is active during driving and during idling.
- Electric power take-off is a separate lifetime energy category for the electrical power take-off system.
The individual component categories are defined as follows:
- Propulsion: energy consumed by the complete propulsion system.
- Climate system: energy consumed by the complete climate-control system.
- Air compressor: energy consumed for pneumatic compressed air.
- VCA power supply system: energy consumed by the complete 24 V electrical system.
- Electric power take-off: energy consumed by the electrical power take-off.
For the normalised values, the calculation method is consistent across the relevant categories:
- kWh/h is the energy value divided by the vehicle’s total operating time during the selected period.
- kWh/100 km is the energy value divided by the vehicle’s driven distance during the selected period and multiplied by 100
Escalation
Escalate to Vehicle Performance if the user is experience any issues.
